RE: I'm homeless but not forgotten

Hey everyone!

To save you the trouble of following his link, allow me to explain that @james-show is advocating this "steemitisnotacasino" tag in order to encourage downvoting any trending topic that gets more than a certain number of dollars worth of attention. Evidently he and his compatriots have decided that the abuse flag tool is a great way to express jealousy in a passive aggressive, cowardly and bullying manner.

What he proposes is the steemit equivalent of beating someone up and taking their lunch money, because they are wearing expensive shoes. It's bullying plain and simple.

Flagging is not intended for that. Flagging is for reporting abuse, spam, copyright violations etc so that we can have a nice place around here.

We already have a tool for expressing our displeasure with a post gaining too much money. It's called insightful and intelligent commentary on why they don't deserve this much money. If you post intelligent and compelling arguments then intelligent people will mod you up and you will earn money. Check my posting history, I do this and it does work. Commenting is my primary source of revenue and I average $200 a day doing it.

If you follow the advice of @james-show you will incur a massive karma debt that will have to be repaid as a legion of bots follows you across this site on every single post you make and encourages others to consider the fact that you have been abusing the abuse flag system, before they give you any money. The bots won't downvote you, well mine won't. But you won't be able to post anywhere without some bot pantsing you in public and exposing that you have been acting like a weenie. Imagine something like @cheetah calling you out everytime you open your mouth to speak.

So my advice, quit acting like a passive aggressive malcontent because your blog didn't make mega $$$ and instead go comment why it is you don't think the person deserves the money that they're getting. It's not your money to take away.

He needs a flag like mine...

...maybe he'll start loving this platform more and do something constructive.

Damn you! I was going to say, err, what you just said but instead I had to upvote you!! ;-) Thanks for putting it, well err, in plain english. Later dude! (funny too) ;-)

I figured something like this would happen. This is why I challenged the "economic justice warriors" to actually upvote this post. I upvoted.

i appreciate the info you've given here but,

  1. you come across too strong, especially when you threaten karmic debt and bot attacks
  2. this is an open system so groups trying different things is not a problem, it's the free market
  3. "flagging" is really just down voting
  4. most people don't read all the comments before voting but many do upvote just because they see big payouts
  5. "save us the trouble" of following his link is super lame
  6. it is the community's money to give or take away
