Fun Facts:

  • Red Kangaroos can live 8 to 12 years in the wild and 20 years in captivity.

  • When Red Kangaroos fight they use their legs to kick their opponent in the belly. They also punch with their fists. I like to call them, Kick Boxing Kangaroos!

They are fun to watch in cartoons! Such interesting creatures!

Thanks for sharing!

Wouldn't it be fun to have a couple of red kangaroos for pets? What do you think? Would your dad allow you to have them as pets?

Probably not, he likes every animal to have a purpose on the homestead.

But it would have a purpose! It would be a pet!

Haha.... A pet that can punch out a small adult!?

Don't they eat them in Australia? But that would be expensive since they aren't many here in the USA.

Thanks for sharing Joshua! Were kangaroos apart of school recently?

No, I just wanted to do a post about them.

Does it ever snow where the Kangaroos live?

That's great, Joshua. I bet it would be fun watching two kangaroos fighting it out in the wild. Give them boxing gloves and helmets, we wouldn't want them to get hurt! @ironshield

Nicely done Joshua. I'm curious now, how many types of Kangaroos are there in Australia ?

There are four species of kangaroos in Australia that I know of, these are the: Red kangaroo, Western grey kangaroo, Antilopine kangaroo, and the Eastern grey kangaroo.

Thank you for following up on that question Joshua.

Good to know! Keep up your good work buddy.
