OOO I'm going to have to look into that variety!! I would love one that blooms more often or for a longer period of time.
Oh! Sorry! It is unusual for this tree to bloom so often, not a trait.....
Oh okay gotcha! What are the growing conditions? What is the soil ph? Full sun? etc. Maybe that has something to do with it? You should graft it or sell seeds! I'd love to get some from you.
It wasn't much protected from the wind, had been totally over shadowed by the catalpa, and was growing in un-amended sandy loam, the 7th best in the world, as is all our soil.
One would have thought, in the competition from the catalpa, it would have barely flowered once, nevermind 2 or 3 times a year....
