Tips On Seed Saving

I created a video to offer some tips on seed saving. I wanted to add the same holds true with peppers, tomato, watermelon, etc. save from your BIGGEST and best fruit. It’s hard to see those delicious juicy fruits and not pick them to eat them but you will be rewarded with good strong seeds to later produce lots more of that deliciousness.

With lots of love

You found your way here! Yay!

Do you worry about the poor mustard pollinating the really good one, as they are so close together, thereby possibly getting not good plant seeds? Or will the good one bolt far enough later it's not a worry?

I wasn't worried about it because I knew I was clipping it off before the good one had opened flowers. :) I time them. I even clipped off the flowers from the purple ones until the green ones were mature enough to take. Once I harvested the green ones I let the purple ones bolt. It helps to stagger the planting times too.

There I was just collecting off the first ones that bolted! Now I know better. I’ve featured your post in The Lotus Garden newsletter, which will be published early tomorrow.
