I had surgery on Wednesday the 4th and was home on Friday the 6th. The surgery went very good, I should have the stability back in my knee after this and hopefully no more surgeries for this knee. The knee was first replaced in 2009 and it just fell apart and needed a revision on 2015 and the tibia part of the knee was replaced and nothing was done with the femur part of the knee. This time the femur was replaced and all is good hopefully. I am not sure why the surgeon in 2015 did not change the whole knee but he did not.
Here is an example of what they put in for a revision on a knee replacement.
Image from Google images.
They do a nerve block on the leg they are working on and it helps with the pain for a day after surgery as soon as the nerve block wears off it is time to get up and walk on that knee. This is because you do not want scar tissue to build up in the knee and block the knee from being about to move. If too much scar tissue builds up they will have to go into the knee and remove it and that is a big setback on recovery time.
I will post some pictures of my knee after surgery. If you are a squeamish person this will graphic so be prepared for this pictures. They are posted below.
This is my knee wrapped up.
This is why it is wrapped up because it is still bleeding a little so trying to make sure it stops bleeding.
This is the whole incision it is quite long and they had to make it this long to do the revision.
The small house has been put on hold for the time being because of this surgery. It is so close to being done but I cannot do anything right now on it. I have the main power ran for it and the main water line ran to it from the well. The electric is in the house just not all hooked up yet. We still have to put in the two walls to make a bathroom and put in the plumbing and put in the tub and sinks, etc. I tried to get it done before surgery but it did not happen, as the recovery from surgery would have been easier in the small house than in the motorhome. I had a limited window to do the surgery in as it was being done with Veterans Choice Program, you only have 30 days to get it done after the approval for the surgery is done or you have to start all over again and it is hard to get it done one time, getting a second approval is even harder to get. As I do not have the money to pay someone to finish the small house, so the small house it is going to have to wait the few months it takes to recover from the surgery. We will get there just a longer time frame to completion than we needed it to be. It will all work out in the long run.

Thanks! I know the more you move the faster it heals, just trying not to overdo it.
Glad to hear your surgery went well. Have been there myself. Your knee looks 100 % better than mine did. May you heal well with little pain so you and the boys can get back to the little house building! Best wishes! 🐓🐓
Thank You! I only wish it would heal faster so I could get back to it faster.
Please don't rush it too much. You can always supervise! Lol. 🐓🐓
I know but I am not the supervising type. I am trying to behave...LOL
Haven't you heard of those courses about training the trainer? Lol! Behave yourself. 🐓🐓
