Bees are insect pests in the Apidae genus. Bees have different characteristics with other insects, namely:
1. Foodstuff: bees eat nectar or flower powder. The bee has a long trunk in its mouth which serves to reach a large flower pouch and pick up the flower powder. The powder is then brought back to the hive to be fed as food to the bee larvae.
2. Its eusocial nature. Bees have a strict division of castes. Bees are divided into three castes: bee queens (one queen each nest), some bees of warrior (bees to guard the nest and fertilize queens), and worker bees (female bees other than queen). Female worker bees are produced from a fertilized bee egg, while the male soldier bees from unfertilized. While the bee roses grow from fertilized eggs that are given special treatment by being fed royal jelly continuously by the worker bees.
3. Bees produce some unique fluids. The first is honey, which results from the digestion of a portion of the flower powder. After arriving at the nest, this digestive fluid is turned by bees into a beehive. This honeycomb is processed into honey. The second fluid produced by bees is a beeswax (beeswax) produced in the bee's abdominal gland. Beeswax is used to wrap bees' eggs and store honey. The last liquid is royal jelly. This fluid is released bee hush and serves for egg food, especially that will be hatched as queen bee.
