I think part of homesteading is a mind set. I think of my self as a apartment steader because I live in a apartment but grow what I can grow. I do canning from items I either grow or buy at the fruit stands. I also love cooking from scratch.
I grew up on a farm with all the work it takes to run and keep your land and animals in good shape.
