WAIT!!! DON’T THROW THOSE COBS AWAY!!
When my son went to #StuhrMuseum for a field trip, he came home one happy boy!!! In his hand he held this tiny jar filled with this light colored jelly that really looked like diluted honey. “Mom!!!!! Please make some cornbread so we can eat this!!!” So, I added cornbread to our dinner menu! 😂
[Please comment below for a blog on my cornbread recipe that my son goes nuts over!]
AND THIS IS HOW CORNCOB JELLY BECAME A STAPLE IN OUR HOUSE!
I wish I could share with you the recipe that my son brought home, but unfortunately I misplaced it. Here is a link to the recipe I’ve been borrowing from the last few autumns. http://chickensintheroad.com/cooking/how-to-make-corn-cob-jelly/
I really made sure he had enough to last until Autumn 2018
It really does taste like honey! Once you try it, you’ll love it as much as we do!
Blessings,
Sandy aka @CountryHeart
That's amazing! My father was a farmer growing up, and I thought I had heard about every jam/jelly/canned variety possible, but he never mentioned corncob jelly! I will have to ask him about it! By the way, I chose your blog to be featured in my latest video as the "Steemian of the day". I just know you will do well on here, and am so impressed by all you can do! :)
Awe thanks!! You’re hilarious btw!! 😂 Trying to figure out how to reshare it!
I got it figured out lol! Thanks again!
