There are a few simple tasks still to do on the Horse Barn. Here's a short list of the biggest jobs left to do.
- Install Metal Roof on Overhang
- Install Gravel Floor in Feed & Tack Room
- Build and Install Gates & Doors

Here's a picture of the new horse, Tao, enjoying a fresh stall all cleaned out with the addition of fresh wood shavings for bedding.
Before that beautiful picture of Tao's rear end there was this view.
All the stuff you can see in the left stall (in the pic above) was moved to the old barn that we called Maggie's Place.
That old barn will be torn down this year ( I hope ) but I need a staging place for the tools, lumber and hay while we are finishing up the tasks on the new barn.
I don't like this stage at all. It just feels like moving piles around, but until I get a proper shop build here on the farm I just need to use what I have. If only I could just snap my fingers and POOF! ... it would all be done LOL
Luke was my helper going to the feed store to buy bedding and hay bales. He loves getting out of the house to tackle jobs like this. Mostly he's the supervisor since he's not too fond of using his hands much anymore (a symptom of his special needs).
I'm really looking forward to getting so much done in 2018! Hopefully time and circumstance will be on my side so I'll be able to tackle these big jobs. It'll be nice to start scratching some of these projects off my list!
