I've seen this sign on the country road for a few years now, but it was dumb luck for me to meet the guy that is turning this Texas acreage into a fascinating Certified Organic Farm. Last October when I was collecting pumpkins up from a local church pumpkin patch I bumped into this guy named Robert. He was there for the same purpose as I was. We were collecting the surplus pumpkins for our animals to eat. Once we got to talking it was very interesting how much we had in common! Even where we lived. Our farms are literally a stones throw from each other (Ok, you'd have to have a very strong arm to get a stone over there, but I supposed someone might be able to do it).
Here's their official website: http://www.risingkalefarms.com/
And here's a few pics I took last night from when I was invited to hang out with a group of people on the farm to just enjoy the ambiance and an amazing dinner cooked right there on the farm!
Robert routinely sells out of duck and quail eggs at the New Braunfels Farmers Market: http://www.nbfarmersmarket.com/
He also has the hookups with a local organic restaurant to sell his amazing veggies. https://www.downtownernb.com
Today I went back to visit Robert on the farm again to share some of the plants from my garden. He in return gave me WAY TOO MANY veggie plants to work all night on trying to figure out where they were going to go LOL
If you are ever in the New Braunfels area on a Saturday morning I do encourage you to stop by the Rising Kale Farms booth to pick up some fresh duck and quail eggs before they sell out!
Know your farmer! Support local organic farms.
Yes agree Know where your food comes from! Shared..
It is great living near like minded folks! Sounds like you all may do some regular horse trading?
I do hope so 😉

Support local......can't agree with that more!
That's so great! I bet you were getting a LOT of good ideas over there! :)
wishing I had the right space for one of those big green houses! :)
What if...you built one of an unconventional shape so that you could get the same square footage in whatever space you have available? :) Kinda snake it around things.
