Just a few leafy greens! Kale, lettuce, collards, spinach and a little bit of cat grass for the kittens!
LED red/blue colored light is among the most efficient in terms of plant growth and savings in electricity!
As you can see plant advance peaks around 400-450 nm and 650-700 nm. Thanks to the two peaks in absorption and the combination of red and blue light combining for purple these two color LED's help cut out energy loss of incandescent, florescent and other bulbs that traditionally produce as much heat as light!
Good luck on early planting! Thanks for reading/following!
Holy moly! Are those your original photos? That is an unbelievably sweet setup! It's not even the amazing equipment featured that gives it the wow factor, everything is so organized, that's an awesome way the plants are laid out. The curiosity that resulted in knowledge your sharing about the energy efficiency and the chlorophyll absorbtion chart you incorporated were a couple of my favorite elements. Can't wait to see them in the ground! Followed, upvoted, resteemed!
Thank you both so much! @powellx5 , @medicinewheel following you both! The setup/layout is thanks to my friends, I hepled with a bit of the suspension/build but can't take credit for planting/layout. I agree it is a wonderful setup and they were on point with the organization. It's suspended by a stud in the ceiling, a half pallet cut to size, a few chain lengths and eye screws! Have to keep it elevated from the cats/kittens because of the cat grass and curiosity! As for the explination of LED and R&B light it comes from my natural need/want to explain theory/reason behind interesting scientific/energy ideas!
My cat waits for me to leave the room I start all my sedlings in so she can jump up on the table with out getting sprayed with water. She was laying in the flat my onions were growing in...were. lol But I put an empty box up there and she lays in it now.
I couldn't have worded it better. Nice layout @dartristdream!
Photos are original and even from a smartphone! Haha
