Fertilized vs Unfertilized Duck Eggs

in #homesteading7 years ago

Hey All,
I know it’s been a while since my last post, but a lot has been going on at the farm. Blueberry season is pretty much done so I will be posting videos of how we have to prepare the bushes for next season.

For right now here is a comparison shot of two eggs laid by ducks on the farm. The first was laid by the duck dubbed Ace by my friends. She turned out to be lame and was getting picked on so I built her a new enclosure inside the duck pen. Since she is alone so I am 99% sure that it was not fertilized.

The second is from one of the other four ducks.

Img description: Two shots of duck eggs, not quite completely clean on a scale. The first is unfertilized and weighs 75 grams and the second is fertilized and weighs 95 grams, almost a 20 gram difference!

Sort:

the more heavier the more chances will get fertilized....just I think..maybe wrong
