This morning I woke up to a phone call from my supervisor Herbert. Literally the first words out of his mouth were "All the plants are dead." I think that I am dramatic sometimes but no comparison lol. My heart, of course, drops. I am confused and still groggy. Also cold.
As we stood outside I could see Monica's windshield was frozen over.
The temperature overnight dropped down to 41°F.
I skipped breakfast for the fish and starting pumping in warm water to keep them comfortable. It's warmed up now (around 63°F @ 12pm) and the fish have eaten lunch.
Herbert says that in the next few weeks we will see whether this overnight frost will affect the fruits. I hope that it won't be as deadly as he first imagined.
