Decades ago I cut stress out of my life. That meant no TV; I don’t listen to the radio or read newspapers. But I hated opening my browser at the time with all the headlines.
It was around that time my husband found software for making webpages, so I decided to make myself home pages for my browser.
On Tuesday morning I was changing my home page from Valentine’s Day to Start of the Season and decided to do a post showing some of the dozens of pages I’ve made over the years.
One of the birthday ones in January
Libraries and Windows
I’ll put this one up when I am between things or can’t decide.
Spring Home
I used bits of poems, songs, and affirmations on the pages
First of Summer
They have pictures of things relating to the theme.
Autumn Equinox
October Home
Late Autumn Home
Thanksgiving Home
Winter Home
This is one of my favorites during the winter.
Christmas Home
This is my very favorite, no surprise, huh?
I also have pleasant pictures on my desktop that I change either for the season, or for a whim. I decided to not change this theme just yet, as I like the cloth valentines.
On Tuesday I got the kitchen cleaned up, the laundry finished, and a shower before my helper friend was due at 9:30AM. I started watering the house plants and when he didn’t show up by 9:45AM I called and found out he is sick. So I finished the houseplants by myself. And went back to the garden bed notes for a couple hours.
Oxalis in sunlight in the office
I sat in the office for a while after lunch. The stove was warmer there.
Someone else thought so too, as he’d not left the office all day.
When my brother came home late afternoon, he said the front steps were really bad with ice. I’d only gone out the back door to do the birds.
It was about an inch thick and some places I just couldn’t clear.
I got as much off the steps as I could, then sanded well. The walkway was hopeless, so I just sanded.
We don’t use the office steps because the snow comes off the solar panels so hard and fast. So it’s gotten quite deep over there.
The sun was just going down over the frozen tundra when I finished. You can’t even see the New Herb garden’s wall in the back. It’s to remain very cold and windy for another day or so then warm up.
On Wednesday I have the kitchen to clean up and exercise class. I’m hoping I can sit down and get some more garden bed notes done. Another sunny, cold, windy day.
The home pages all look great and awesome. You must have enjoyed compiling them, it's certainly way better than watching TV all day long.
That’s a nice homepage you’ve got there. I must learn to make my own homepage one day.
The snow seem to be very stubborn. I wouldn’t like the job of clearing snow from the path. Sweeping fallen leaves is hard enough for me and my gardener. We have too many big forest trees! So, I hope the builders would come to trim branches next week.
The pictures look interesting and I love how they tell a story
Nice one!
These home pages are good, at least you don't get to read unwanted news and can keep a good mood
You are really doing a very great job there friend
Keep it up
Your home pages are beautiful, peaceful, and encouraging. What a great way to start every morning and changing the themes for each of the seasons is clever.
Be careful with all that hidden ice. My husband took a nasty fall and strained his neck and knee. I keep walking like a penguin in this weather. I should go out and measure what is on the cold frames for some grins.

I like the idea of this home pages, is it difficult in creating one?
Not too bad, just takes a while. These were all done years ago.
The home pages pictures look really good
Nice one!
