On Saturday morning I was up at 4:30AM and got the post up. When I pulled the shades up, one of the geraniums had started to open.

I finally got the bills/budget done. Then I decided to go early to the co-op for the things I needed. It took longer than I hoped and I was mighty tired by the time I got home.

I had set up to iron before I left as an incentive to get that job done. So I finally got started on it at 10AM. It’s a slow finicky job, with all the lace and crochet and embroidery. Each piece gets smoothed out then starched to protect it some from stains, etc. But I had finished by 11AM and was glad to go sit down.

Installing new printer crop Dec 2024.jpg

I watched Christmas movies until Tom arrived late afternoon to install the printer. It was easy enough I probably could have done it, but there had been so many complaints about software, I thought it would be better to have him here.

Of course, it had to be inspected.

Larry didn’t get to check out the boxes because I took them apart. They will make 4 new gardening sheets. That protective printed side lasts pretty long in damp or wet conditions.

The printer seems to print, copy, and scan well, so on Sunday I will be printing the Christmas newsletter and writing Christmas cards. My brother will be coming back from vacation early afternoon. The contractor will be here after 3PM and hopefully finish the dining room floor. We’re supposed to get more snow during the night, so I will have steps and walkways to sweep first thing.

Yay, you got the printer set up. Good for you!

And the Christmas newsletter is printed and all cards ready to send! Whew!

The fragile freshy germaniums is really looking beautiful by the window.

The advantage of the printer is that it does all three things: print, copy, and scan. Canon is a good product. Keep using it. The cat was watching how the print turned out. Very funny.

Canon printers are quite good and can easily last years
