On Thursday morning I was up at 5:30AM and got back to work on the photo albums. It took 2 hours more but they are finally in order and labeled and dated. The first one has the house and grounds and gardens plus some of the chickens. The one on the right has the rest of the chickens, the cows, and the pigs and is half full. They run from 2008, more or less, to 2016.
That left one empty album for the seed packets. I had 2 years of seed packets to file alphabetically, 2023 and 2024.
It took 1½ more hours to do that. I finished at 9AM and cleaned up the mess.
Next I got my post up and then I got a shower. I got the kitchen cleaned up and sat down for a while.
My helper friend arrived at noon and we got started on the glass front cabinets. I made it through 2 of them and had to rest. So I sent him out on errands. He got back about 4PM and we were able to finish the last cabinet. I had plenty of dishes to send through the dishwasher as these cabinets haven’t ever been properly cleaned since installation in 2020.
One of his errands had been to pick up a book from the library. @sunscape had mentioned it a while back and I had ordered it. I’m only 79 pages into it but it looks like a book I would have done well with back in 1994 when I started having problems.
I love books that outline the solid science and she goes to great pains to emphasize that most food “facts” today are NOT based on solid science.
There are 4 parts:
Brain Food: what the brain needs for food and how the brain works
Our Descent into Dietary Madness: Inflammation, hormonal roller coaster, the brain’s silent enemy, keto diet
The Whole Truth About Whole Foods: meat, eggs and dairy, grains, fruit and vegetables, superfoods and supplements, plant based diet
Hope is on the Menu: Quiet Diet, Quiet Paleo, Quiet Keto, Quiet Carnivore, tips and FAQs, meal plans
And then 3 appendices: recommended tests, selected resources, essential micronutrients
This is a substantial book with 447 pages. It will keep me busy this weekend.
At least someone is using it…
On Friday my helper friend arrives at 8AM. I had originally planned to do the lower cabinets in the kitchen. But I realized the house plants are in desperate need of being fed, so we will do that first. Then maybe we will start the cabinets. I have PT. That will be the first real exercise all week, with no classes and I have not done any on my own. Sigh…
It’s to rain all day and into the night, so a cold gloomy day.
I wish it’s raining here at the moment as well
You work everyday?
Pretty much, farmers don't get holidays...

I'm so happy you are enjoying the book. It is packed with info. I took a break from it to work on all the seeds but will read more today. It is raining and dreary, perfect for kicking back in the lounge chair.
It must take a lot of time to order alphabetically all seeds!
Cleaning of glasses is something I do with all carefulness to avoid getting cut
I can see that you and your helper did a good job on them.
