The place where cows and goats are milked is called a parlor. I must say, this was not my grandmother’s idea of a parlor.

Hmmm. I learn something new every day. We have been calling it "the shed" all this time!
I guess you will need to change its name.
We can literally milk our dairy cow anywhere. The entire outdoors is her parlor ha! She's the most gentle cow we've ever owned.
