With your temperatures, those redbud will be out in no time. If you want to give me a heads-up, maybe we could do a Redbud week on the @foraging-trail. I'd like to encourage folks to post any redbud pictures they might have, too. A lot of people know that tree and it's a great first wild food for many, even in a suburban area, because they are used so often in landscaping. And there are versions of redbud in Asia and Europe, too. Happy homesteading!

I'll let you know when I see them bloom. So far some plums, cherries, tulip trees and others, so I'll keep an eye out! It is warming up though, I even caught that newt last night!

I saw that nice newt! When the temperatures are right like that, what can you do? It's time to head to the ponds! : )
