definitely agree. food deserts are an all too common thing for people in cities. 100 miles is local in some contexts (maybe fiber shed), but not for food. i think we can do better.
most the food travels all the way across the country by the time it get there it already nearly gone bad. This is why so much of the food is thrown away. Also we should have a more seasonal based food system.
