HELLO ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS OUT THERE STEEMIT LAND!
This is Devin from the Hewett Homestead. We are a family of 5 that is about to be a family of 6 come this September of 2017. We are on a journey to self sufficiency and living off our land. Currently we have about 2 acres of land in Jacksonville Florida U.S.A! One day we hope to sell this land and move to the country where we can clear and build our own working farm and Earthsip like home. We want to live simply off the land and off the grid!

I began prepping for civil unrest in 2011 but realized quickly that if the you know what ever hit the fan then all my prepps would be used up soon and then what! I was hit square in the face with the realization that I would starve to death quickly once my preps ran out! Thus began my journey to acquire knowledge and experience in gardening, raising my own meat rabbits, keeping chicken and learning bush crafting skills to build shelters and fire from primitive methods!
About 2 years into this new journey I realized that there was a fire growing inside of me to get back to my roots. A love and desire to get back to a more simple way of life. As I began to research this life style I learned quickly that It had a name and It's called HOMESTEADING!
I quickly discovered that there is a huge network of people on YouTube and Facebook that are all pursuing the same life. This Homesteading family is just that! A Family! and everyone is more than willing to share information, tips and ideas on how to do things in the simple way. With such a vast network of brothers and sisters the exchange rate of information and speed at which you can learn new skills and how to do things is astronomical!
So here we are sharing our journey and our lives with the world on Youtube and on Steemit in hopes to inspire others to do the same. The best part about our family is that in everything we do we are connected to the Creator and Father God in heaven. When life is lived and experienced in the presence of the one who designed it then you have found, "The Good Life"!
Thank you all for supporting us here on Steemit as I hope to be posting almost daily updates on our progress. We have a ton of exciting projects planned as we seek to maximize our potential on the 2 acres we currently live on and seek to one day sell this land and upgrade to a larger piece of property out side of the city limits. One day we hope to have a true working and profitable farm and off grid homestead. I want to clear and build with my own two hand to show the world that it can be done by anyone!
My message to the world is that your are special and unique and a good life is awaiting you but you have got to go grab it by the horns and make it your own!

I would suggest moving "introduce yourself" to the 1st tag, that way it will appear there rather than in Homestead. I takes awhile to figure this stuff out, we have been on for 4 weeks and I still get lost! Best of luck and welcome to the growing list of homesteader in the community!

I just read an article and was like oh that's why my upvotes don't change the dollar amount anymore! I think it said it recharges about 20% per day and 11 is mzx per day???
I watched a video last night and got a little better idea! So i want to upvote good stuff early and if it does well then i will earn something... i think?lol. And of course puting our good stuff and aparently resteeming too much will piss off your followers cuz i guess they get notifications of it and it clogs up there feeds...So only upvote and resteem good stuff you realy like..LOL have a good one girl!

a wolf man good to see you finally on here go to the homestead life and find the post about joining the community there's just a few things we ask of our members and that is that we vote and restain each other first. that doesn't mean you up for them if they put out junk but go through the other members stuff first and if you like something you uploaded and then you move on to whatever else you want to look at just don't go crazy up voting right away. They say it's best to only upvote 10 things every day that way you will keep your upvote power strong. It's it's a little complicated at first but it will all start to make sense the more you read and pay attention to what other people are saying talk to you soon
