Homesteaders - Living Naturally, Newsletter. 18th December 2019

Christmas is nearly upon us, so this will be the last newsletter of the year. I will be taking a two week break and look forward to reading more from you all in the new year.

Things are already quietening down on here and the pickings are a bit thinner than usual, but I hope you enjoy what we have and I wish you a wonderful break, however you are spending it and hope you have a great start to the new year.

Things happening in the community.

There is still some time left to join in the conversation at @ecotrain about whether eco warriors are hypocrites for flying. You can join in any way you like, via adding your own post to the discussion or commenting on the posts already in.

@naturalmedicine has two challenges currently running if you can find a bit of time in your busy Christmas schedules. Links to both of these can be found in this week's curation post.

Welcoming Newcomers

We don't often have newcomers to welcome of late, so it's a great pleasure to firstly introduce @elhoogesteger, who is here courtesy of @papa-pepper.

and secondly introduce @bia.birch!

Some highlights of the week

From @porters we have some wonderful recipes perfect for the Christmas period.

Over at @thecitystead, they're doing a test as to how well store bought garlic will grow. Does it have to be organic to grow, or will the non organic also grow?

image.png

Another recipe this week comes from @senorcoconut in the form of these nutrient rich energy balls.

Can we reforest with Steem? @nateonsteemit is certainly trying to, with his Steem powered reforestation project.

Those are some beautiful contraptions that you have growing and/or have made there. It's great that you have the time to be able to manage such a creation. Part of me wishes society operated at a slightly slower pace to allow for this artistic creation type of activity. Either way, keep it up, I've followed you now :)

A sweet curation and a beautiful little community. :) Nice work @minismallholding - noticed and appreciated.
