So. Yesterday I wrote about our whole garlic planting drama this year, and bragged about it all getting done just in time.
I found a missed batch of garlic cloves today of around 3lbs. But I found it at 4:45 today while running around securing the greenhouse and chicken coop in preperation for the high wind storm that is on its way. It had to be planted ugh.
This was me tonight.....
Already snow/raining. The forecast changed overnight and we are now dropping to -20 tonight with 70km/hr winds.
Got the 4 wheeler out for some light and got to planting and mulching.
So NOW the garlic is really finished. Since I was panicking about the possibility of my garlic hard freezing but then thawing next week in the predicted above zero temps (??) I added another layer of straw to keep them warmer.
It will be interesting come spring to see how crazy and wonky these last rows were planted in the dark. I can promise they are disasters haha. But still cool. Because.......garlic <3
Good luck tonight little guys!
Thanks for reading :) Have a great night!!
