Y'all! We finally did it!! One year into our big adventure and here we are! Our one-year video tour!! We still have a lot to do but the changes are awesome!
What's funny is, every time we went to shoot the video something was off...I pulled out some dead spring stuff to make room for summer, or the weather wasn't right, etc, etc. Finally, we got it together and done! It does look a bit naked because, at this time, we are mid-summer and made room for late summer and fall crops. Funny thing is, if I were to go shoot a video now it looks lush and full since. lol. Can't win!! But you'll get the idea of what we have going on here!
I'm anxious for our trees to grow and fill in. In fall, we will be planting a few more trees around the food forest, some lower perennial bushes, and more perennial ground cover. We will be adding a lot of perennial flowers for pollinators and other goodies so follow us! Click the bell to be notified of our next video!! :) You'll get to watch this all unfold with us! What an amazing adventure.
I hope you enjoy the tour!! Leave us a comment to let us know you where here!!
With lots of love

Hey friend. Hats off to your commitment to make something in a video that has been lasted for an year. Was there any special purpose behind it, like for submitting into some govt: agencies for any proof or any certification process such as organic farming etc..
But anyhow without or before going through the video I would like to congratulate you for the patience you had shown for it, The changes in between seems to be really making a great feeling. of course your kid looks Cute too. I could not hear it properly, is it some special method of farming.
I have already kept some grow bags in my small compound and after going through your post, I am thinkig why I could try as similar video recording though it does not take long one year like this but they will ripe within three to four months.
Appreciate your effort bro and it is a great video. I have a small suggetion through, you could do some small editing techniques to include the date, month etc in the video,
Anyhow Cheers, Have a nice day

Hi there. We are a blogging homestead and wellness center. We did the video simply to show all of our hard work and changes here. Not for any other purpose. Well....to help inspire others. We teach gardening, run a local garden page, a Facebook page, and a YouTube channel. Our videos are uploaded via YouTube and have the dates and info there along with a bunch of other videos and 'how to' turtorials. We are just passionate about growing food and teaching/inspiring others to do the same. As for the method we are using it is called Back To Eden. It is basically buildig soil, giving back to the Earth, and making growing food so so simple. It adds a ton of nutrients to the soil naturally so it voids the need for synthetic fertilizers. It naturally supresses weeds and the few that do pop through are super easy to pull up. It brings in earthworms and millipedes which help airate the soil. It balances moisture keeping the soil almost always consistently moist even in triple digit heat (I hardly ever have to water). It creates a mycorrhizal association for the plants which help them grow stronger. I can go on and on about the benefits of it. It is a lot of work up fron to set this type of garden up but once you get it set, everything is super simple. No tilling, no weeding, no watering, no feeding....it all runs itself. Check out our Facebook page (links above) if you are interested in learning more. We have files uploaded there with a lot of great info. Thanks for stopping by!!
Glad to receive a lengthy response to my reply with some fine details, To be honest I did not gone to your profile page or previous post for to know what you people are specialized in. I still believe that to record an one year video of a farm need good patience and resolve which you were made. I will visit all those pages as and when I gets time.
So far I was having no business with farming, the terms which you were using as my profession was that of a Civil engineer, but recently around two months back I ventured into a new business and trying to understand the terms, the method etc about it. Can you please go through these two posts whenever you gets time as you will get some idea of what I am into now.

Now I need a help from you if possible. Can share me some insights how carrots can be preserved without getting damaged or spoiled in natural way, that means without refrigerated as our intention is to supply farm fresh original vegetables.
Thanks in advance.
Hi kindredacres,

You rock! Thank you!! XOXO
ehy dear @kindredacres, you did a great job in this land! and your video is amazing, after a year of commitment and cultivation. I am so happy that there are people like you who respect nature, love it and treat it with care, as a treasure to protect and not to destroy or exploit. it is true that using all natural methods and products probably requires effort at first, but then it is a job that pays off because what grows from the earth is healthy and rich in natural elements, not chemical products that kill the earth and little by little they kill us too.
Congratulation for your curie vote and for your great work of raising awareness about the intelligent cultivation of the earth and the defense of what we will then bequeath to our children. I hope there are more and more people like you! all the best for you
Thank you @road2horizon! I appreciate the love! We have made great progress in just one year but we are far from done and the journey is so sooo exciting! I love to share and inspire others so it makes me feel good to make these videos! Thanks for the upvote! Feel free to resteem to take part in sharing the inspiration!! XOXO
You've managed to put so much variety in such a small place. I was surprised to hear all the different trees that you're planting. And I love that idea with the place for children to play. They are going to love it.
I hope you will find someone who will help you to even out the place so that you can have it the way you wish. It's very annoying when delivery people are not willing to help with that..
I like the tour around your homestead. I preferred the quality of the video at the beginning but it was still kind of ok later on :)
I wish you a lot of success with further work on your project. It seems like you've done tons of work and you still have a lot of plans to continue..
Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day! :)
Thank you. :) The total property is just shy of 3.5 acres. We are focusing on a small portion right now but eventually will work a bigger portion of the land. We plan to put a variety of nut trees, more fruit trees, and so much more. Pollinator gardens, etc. We will continue to post our journey so follow along!! :)
