I have been reading all about the meat shortages we should be getting ready to expect due to meat packing plants closing down especially beef, pork and chicken. Then when I got home I was excited to find out that we had a new addition in the meat department.
Lucky for this beefy little calf it is a girl so she will be staying with us on the farm and not sold or eaten. She is a good looking little girl also and has some size to her.
She has been running all over the area in and outside of the fence which is a pain for us trying to keep her in but at not even an hour hold she is the most mobile calf we have ever had.
Just one more cow waiting to calf and we are hoping for another girl.

Ahhhh, my husband misses having cows here this year. But he is too busy building to manage them, so maybe by next year.....
Having calves was the best part of having cows. :))
