Here is a quick tip on how to remove fence posts in a few easy steps shared by my husband @happymoneyman.

You will need three items for this, a length of chain and a hi-lift jack and a shackle to close the chain with.

Wrap the chain around the post twice.

When the chain is wrapped twice (make sure it is right under a knob on the stake, you will be putting pressure up on the stake and you need it to grab), then secure the chain and end the wraps by putting a shackle through the two ends of the chain, creating two wraps around the post and a loop for your jack to grab.

Get your hi-lift jack down to the level of your chain loop.

Then put it through the loops and start jacking your stake out of the ground.

We do this with stubborn fence posts on our farm too! Except, not manually, we use a tractor with a bucket to lift it out of the ground. ;) ...but the chain goes on the same way! Most of the time, we just jerk the fence post around a hundred times until our arms and hands are about to fall off, and call it a workout. Haha...work smarter, not harder, am I right? Thanks for posting some nice, practical tips. It's interesting the little things you don't think about until you see them posted by somebody else. @lifemovedbysteem

A tractor would be awesome! Thank you for the complements, hope you have a awesome weekend!

Thank you! Glad you liked it and I hope it helped.

To put stakes in do I just turn the jack upside down? ; )
