My biggest project was the transformation of a former 20 000 sqm clinic into an extension of the Yoga Vidya Ashram in Germany in the position of construction supervisor, working together with external specialists like architect, engineer, professional construction companies, but also karma yogis (volunteers) always trying to balance German building code (a nightmare) and limited funds. In the very beginning I went through the buildings for a couple of days, checking for any serious red flags, problems which would need a lot of money to fix, but came to the conclusion that the ashram should buy that building and so it happenend. Also, like with your build, many miracles did happen there in terms of people showing up, giving support with their expertise or financially or with manpower, we were feeling that we were part of something bigger and the energy of Swami Sivananda was flowing through everything there.
There is this joke in Germany, that the last adventure which is still possible in this overregulated and tamed country is building a house, and that certainly held true for this 20 000 sqm project.
