I think drainage is important for everything but marsh plants! Lol! We have clay soil, so that might be our problem come winter when everything gets water logged. I'd put in marsh plants except everything turns to concrete come summer! Sounds like you should be fine there though.
My brother thought we were all tech nerds on here, but showing him your blog tipped him over the edge; he's just posted his introduction.
He's really into rediscovering edible Aussie flora and fauna.
He might like @ligayagardener then. He's pretty knowledgeable on bushfoods and medicines. He lives in Gawler. I'm pretty interested in the Aussie edibles too. I've only recently started looking into them though.
