HEAT YOUR HOME NEXT WINTER CHEAP! Here is how you can do it!
But first, I actually made an error in this video with the price. 8 bundles at $20 each is $160. Plus a $100 delivery fee. So $260 dollars was the price for heating our homes for TWO YEARS. Plus we used this wood for wood fired pressure canning and our smoke house as well. So that is money well spent!
Here's How You Can Save TOO!
Most rural areas that have forest will also have saw mills. All of these saw mills produce a by-product called slabs when they cutting their lumber. They will usually sell them cheap to private buyers like you but sometimes they force you to have your own trailer. OR, you can do what we did and talk to one of the truckers that hauls them away and pay them $100 to bring a load to you. We made a deal for 8 bundles and they delivered it.
We have good forests on our homestead here and we could always harvest our own firewood. But we also have sawmills in close driving distance that produce literally tons of great firewood that is going unused.
ENJOY THE VIDEO!

I'm still waiting on someone to come up with an awesome and inexpensive way to cool a home.
That's $65 per house per year? Less than $6 a month? Our gas bill is sometimes upwards of $80/mo (!) More work, but cheap living! Good deal! @ironshield
Yeah, its a deal that you can't pass up.
Sometimes you have to think outside the conventional box. "One man's trash is another man's treasure" is a saying for a very obvious reason.
Independence Day is appropriate for this topic. Thanks @mericanhomestead for posting this video today. Steem On!
Nice! Do you get a choice of type of wood or is it a mishmash?
It's mostly white and red oak and some hickory. So alll hardwoods. The mills are making railroad ties and pallet lumber.

Yeah, I'm on steemit.chat. Send me a message!

The link you sent me looked like spam...what is it?
thats an awesome tip! great advise thanks a lot-resteemed and upvoted
will they load your trailer for free or is that on you?
All the mills around here will load the bundle for you for free.
Sound like a great deal. Save your own trees for when you need them.
YEP!
Great up-cycle. I couldn't cut my own firewood that cheap when I factor in fuel and time!
Great idea. We have a few around here.
Smoke or will burn clean ?
Another awesome lesson on being prepped for the future! Resteemit!
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing. Still working on getting my off grid homestead, but I'll keep this in mind.
