Delicious Custard cake

Hi there Steemians today I decided to bake my favorite custard cake. This is my second time baking this. So let's start. But first we'll have to preheat the oven to 360 degree fahrenheit.

We'll divide this into three parts. First is for the caramel, the ingredients is 1 cup sugar.

Just put the baking pan in the medium heat stove. Pour in the sugar and wait till it caramelized. Then set aside.

Now for the second part the custard. We'll be needing 6 egg yolks, 1 can condensed milk, 1 cup milk (fresh milk or evaporated milk), 1/4 cup sugar.

Combine all these in a bowl until it's well distributed and pour it in baking pan with the caramelized sugar.

For the cake we'll need 6 egg yolks again, 1/2 sugar, 1 1/2 cake flour (sifted), 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp grated lemon grind, 1/4 cup milk combined with 1/4 cup water.

For the cake beat the egg yolks, pour in the sugar and mix well. Add gradually the flour alternate with milk that has been diluted with water. Then put in the baking powder and grated lemon grind. Mix until texture is smooth. Set aside☺

Last for the meringue we'll need 6 egg white, 1/2 tsp cream of tartar, 1/2 cup sugar.

The egg white and cream of tartar should be beat by an electric mixer in high speed til it's bubbly. Then pour in the sugar and beat again til you got a foamy form. Add this with cake mixture an pour it all in baking pan along with the caramelized and custard mixtures. And put in a roasting pan with hot water. Then baked it inside the oven for 90 minutes.

This is one of my favorite cakes, it is a little bit tricky, last time I did a custard cake I baked it for almost 2 hours and still the center was soft. Even though, it was delicious
