This winter was hard on the system, as my fish tank and entire grow bed froze solid all the way through. Luckily my pump survived, unfortunately my fish did not. So this year I plan on doing things a little differently by placing my fish tank in the ground like a pond to help to prevent it from freezing all the way down. Took a few pics of my set up so you guys can get an idea of what I am working with. If anyone is into this sort of gardening, any suggestions are welcome. If you are curious about it, I am happy to answer any and all questions!
It's small but I wanted to start at a manageable size just to get the hang of it, and I am glad I did since last year was decidedly a learning experience! If I can get this thing popping this season then I will consider expanding the project.
I will keep posting my progress for any who are interested!
That looks great. I hope this works for you. The cold isn't prejudice ...it kills everything! Be well.
Nice post
