My wife and I live in the Ozarks Hills on a five acre homestead. Slowly but surely, we're taking the steps to become more self sufficient, grow our own non-GMO food and create a healthier/happier lifestyle for us and our family. We're not completely off grid yet but plan to be within several years. We want to leave a legacy for our children and their children. We decided to document our homesteading adventure for them. We took to Youtube as a source to put our videos onto the web and figured we'd go public with it.
I am a self-published author as well. My wife and I enjoy doing many different crafts and will soon be filming historical sites and national parks here in the Ozarks to place on the web.
Now to the good stuff. What brought us here to Steemit? We follow An American Homestead (mericanhomestead) over on Youtube. What an awesome channel. They never fail to deliver quality information. He mentioned coming here to diversify due to Youtube's censorship. We, at Sanctuary Valley Homestead, have been censored a couple of times at the "You"...and for family friendly content. Not the typical guns, animal processing and other things that go along with the homestead experience. Up to this point, we had no clue Steemit existed. I would encourage anyone interested in the homesteading topic to follow them.
We hope to be able to bring quality videos in the near future. Thank you all for taking a peek at our profile and content.
