Hello beautiful people! Hope all is well.
It's a lovely feeling that homesteading give you the reconnection of the simplicity of life.
I tried to dried my moringa leaves and sprout my mung beans. Alternative menu while having quarantine.
I was not able to take a photos step by step with the process, but surely it is very easy and simple to do.
The fresh moringa leaves, wash first before drying, you may dry it hanging, tying the stem, or just simply remove in stem and place to colander, let it dry for how many days.
You may use it whole dried or powdered.
Moringa leaves is a superfood it is usually incorporate it to soup or pasta or even omelette egg.
With the bean sprout, we need to soak mung beans over night,
Drain water, place it to a bowl or colander, sprinkle some water to the sprout, remove excess water. Cover and place it to dark area, for 4 days. Check and sprinkle water for 4 days.
Homesteading empowers us to be self sufficient.
We use dried moringa every day for tea and also as a powder in our daily super smoothie. 😊 Today I'm starting a new batch of fenugreek sprouts in my new sprouting set up.
Yes, it IS a good feeling to grow and engage with the nourishment we give our bodies. #foodismedicine
