The pardoned Thanksgiving "turkey"

in #homesteading7 years ago (edited)

We've had a cross bred billy goat for just under a year that has recently been trying to mate with our purebred goats. We posted him for sell and quickly found that everyone wanted does and not bucks. After many months with little to no interest from the ads we posted, we found we may have no other choice other than to add meat to our freezer.

After mentioning this to a friend they said there was no way they could let that happen and didn't care what it cost, they would pay to have them fixed. So, I guess we have our first pet goat.

Meet Salach (סָלַח)! (meaning: to pardon)

Now that is a blessed animal...

Awww... love how he is nuzzling your neck... almost as if he has a sixth sense about his recent possibility of an untimely doom and is saying thank you

He looks like a pardoned turkey for sure! Glad we're keeping him. He's got an awesome personality and is a really sweet goat.
