Read your own words and consider if they are fair and truthful.
You say "neglect and abuse".
You say raccoons attacked the chickens.
But yet, I had police at our property many times after people were incited by sucks members to come to our home and kill our birds or mess up the fencing or chicken coops. There are police records of this.
Then you blame me.
Sometimes raccoons can get through even the best of defenses.
Ever hear the term "fox in the hen house"?
It is part of raising chickens.
Even large scale farmers can lose some birds.
Are you saying that all farmers "abuse and neglect" their chickens?
Or are you just singling out me?
Cause that is what it looks like.
But YOU said the police in NY said you @thediyworld are "whacked".
I am singling you out because you never provided the basic protection for your birds. No knowledgeable farmer depends on chicken wire the way you do. Its crap. Heavier fencing is the norm and that's why chicken wire is so cheap- because its crap. Sometimes raccoons got in?????? How about OFTEN. You video EVERYTHING that would help you with the pity but the only footage you have on police at the dumpsite is after the arson and they were doing their job following up on leads. No one every messed with your chickens. It was always your neglect that killed them. You even said once that you often forgot to lock them in the coops at night- No chicken farmer would take that chance. My chicken coops have 12v automatic doors for when I'm not able to lock them in at sunset. You are now blaming everyone but yourself for the deaths of countless chickens. You are a sad little man.
Actually our chicken cottage is better than most farmers barns. It has sheathing, tar paper and paneling.
Most barns only have some boards where you can see outside between.
I think we are doing just fine really.
Now, if you dont like us or dont believe in our videos - simply leave.
Harassing us online and in the real world is criminal.
@thediyworld, Barns are built and intended to store food like hay, Not animals and birds.
That's why there's gaps in the verticals boards.
Ventilation.
Actually horses, cows and chickens stay in barns all the time.
@thediyworld, the animals are housed BELOW.
Chickens are kept separate in Coops.
The hay and implements are stored ABOVE, hence the proper ventilation.
he thinks he invented farming and raising chickens when the truth is he has lost so many to predators that he loses money on them. He claims he is giving eggs away when he is suffering from poverty.
Bet most farmers don't lose the amount of chickens to predators that you do or they would quit raising them. You have to have chickens to give the impression you are becoming self sufficient and it isn't working well for you.
