You could easily have made the salsa yourself but you chose to let mom do it and you just stood there filming. Not using scalding water to remove the skins was extremely lazy and it has nothing to do with the nutrients in the skins. Salsa looked very thin, more like tomato sause than salsa. I was surprised at how your mom had to educate you on canning when Ming Ting has been canning for many months. Do you not help Ming a Ling? As a DIY channel you came across as not familiar with the process. Noticed the wood stove not hooked up. You should be careful filming not to show your deception to viewers. Explains why you get so few views now.

It turned out very nicely.
The wood stove is working fine. Thank you.
How well does your propane heater work?
Propane heat was not required to make this salsa. We used a stove to cook it.
I thought your new-old stove and oven used propane? And you did not answer the question. How is your propane heater working? How much propane do you use to heat your home?
Propane heaters never entered this video that I can remember.
Well, since this video is about making salsa, and it was warm outside, I will answer you the only way I can.
The propane stove is very efficient.
Many off grid homes do use propane and still consider themselves off the grid.
Off the grid means not using electricity from the power grid.
I never claimed to be fully off the grid yet anyway.
But yes, the stove was efficient enough at processing the salsa.
So you're not really burning wood to keep yourself warm. You're burning propane. You might burn wood occaisionally, but the bulk of your heat comes from propane, correct? As for being "off the grid" you aren't even "off the grid." We can see your lights are on in the house. We can see you using a 6-outlet splitter on your electrical outlet. And we can see you're hiding the truth and not showing people your so-called 95% off-the-grid system you installed this summer. Wanna know why your view count has been diving? It's because the average person can see through your bullshit. YOU ARE A FRAUD.
your claim to fame is trying to be self sufficient. That means providing for yourself with all means at your disposal. Using propane is not self sufficient especially when you have the wood and a wood stove and all your salsa needed was boiling water and another pot to cook the tomatoes. So if you don't take advantage of free when its available you will never be self sufficient just as you will never be off purchased power. Your answer to Martingardner sounded like a smart ass. Is that the effect you want to have trying to make this social media your income for years to come or are you trying to torpedo it so you will be out on the streets homeless with Ming Bing and the kid?
@thediyworld If the woodstove is working “fine”, why have you never shown it with the door open or putting wood into it? What have you got to hide?
Why should I have to prove anything to trolls who will deny it anyway?
Absolutely no point.
The same people who say there are no wires on my solar panels although I showed me wiring them up.
@jackhoffmann, See, more denial.
He doesn't have firewood ready because he doesn't NEED firewood.
Besides, we know you can't cook on top of those wood stoves.
The soap making video was a lie too
It was all done off camera on the electric stove.
Wiring up now? You have been 95% off grid so should not wiring have already been in place? I failed to see permit in window or on your door. Did you not pull a permit? Where was the licensed electrician? Or did we miss where you got certified
We make salsa in this video and article.
I am not sure how your comment relates to making homemade salsa out of tomatoes we grew in our own garden.
Salsa? I think you have the wrong video
film it
"Mommy get over here quick. Ming Zing is still laid up from that little hospital stay and popping out the kid. I need you to care for Ming Ting, the kid, and me. Get some housework done and a little canning and cooking and cleaning and washing while I clean up in the woodshop."
