Hey there Steemians!
I just had the pleasure in taking part in the largest (and first in a way) Moringa harvest we have ever had.
Our second largest Moringa tree was getting a little taller than would easily facilitate harvesting without a ladder, so I harvest the top portions.
Before harvesting
After harvesting
Many of you might not know that Indian variety of Moringa I have can be cut back significantly without damaging the tree. I was told we could even cut every leaf off and leave nothing but a foot of trunk and it would send off side shoots and regrow.
The African variety isn't like this, or so I'm told. (We made sure to only plant the Indian variety hehe)
My loot
Peace offering to the wife lol
Good harvest!
De-stemming from main stems
Going to try to replant some soft cuttings, might not work because they are just that, soft wood. Usually hard work cuttings have a much better chance at making it.
Now I washed the leaves after de-stemming them and I like to enjoy the leaves raw. Some people dry their leaves and blend them up to make a powder. They then can add the powder to anything like smoothies, juices, you name it.
If you're not familiar with the insane health benefits and nutrients that Moringa plant offers, I will leave you with a link and a video here:

I love Moringa and it grows here in Costa Rica where I live. Have you ever tried making soap with it. It is super amazing on the body.
Wow that sounds interesting! No, I haven't tried making soap with it!
