Hello, Steemit Buddy:
This is my picture during planting topiary cuphea in a blue plastic pot.
The name cuphea came from its scientific name Cuphea hyssopifolia its common name to Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras are false heather, Mexican heather, Hawaiian heather or elfin herb.
It is a small evergreen shrub with small flower with lavender or white coloured flowers and fine foliage. It grows about 60 cm high by 90 cm wide. It can be propagated through cutting and division. It is very easy to propagate and can adapts soil even in sunny or partially shaded place. It was given an award of Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. This plant is widely used in landscaping project and also as plant in the backyard for its property of being easy to maintain and propagate.
You can see the process on how I started my planting activity with cuphea plant.
I removed the topiary cuphea from its previous plastic bag and put in the center of blue plastic pot. Filled it with mixed soil. Mixed soil is a combination of Garden Soil, Ricehull, and coir dust.
I put white pebbles on the top of the mixed soil to prevent soil from spilling out of the pot and it also serve as decoration.
My finish product and I put it in our terrace to serve as decoration.
Topiaries can be quite beautiful and really make a statement in a fresh way.
Thanks for sharing this process.
