Good to know. I hope to have sheep in the near future.
I have a friend who is a shepherdess and she uses wild garlic to keep the herd naturally de-wormed.
Whenever Barbara brings new wethers into the herd, she keeps them in a smaller section of the pasture to see if they have any worms before introducing them to the herd. If I am remembering correctly, she didn't want them pooping the worms into the grazing pasture of the healthy sheep.
Barbara and I are both fiber enthusiasts (we spin, knit, weave, felt, etc.) and the wethers are great because their bodies are less stressed (not having babies nor trying to procreate) which means healthier, more consistent fiber.
Thanks for sharing, as always, @mericanhomestead! So much to learn!!
