Oft times I hear and feel as though
To live in pain is naught
And others same with their own pains
But this is what I’m taught
A king on high where cities gleam
And nothing ever dies
For all is whole and there is no woe
He came to live our life
Down from the sky to bleed and die
A drifter was in life
And every woe that we can know
Endured it without strife
And even God when faced with pain
Did fall beneath the load
Of pain and everything he bore
But still steadfast abode
Many a believer thinks for wrong
The purpose of this act
And pines for home above the clouds
The crumble from attack
But he didn't come for us to die
Like him we must endure
He paid the price for our respite
And lived to be life’s cure
The way is rough this is for sure
And bitter it may be
If we shall endure till bitter end
The glory we shall see
