H.O.P.E. Humanitarian Foundation - Sudan Needs Help

Decades of wars, horror and suffering

Imagine that for as long as you can remember, there has been nothing around you but wars and violence. You have nothing. No water, no food, no schools, no hospitals... Danger is lurking at every step. Attacks, rapes, kidnappings and murders are constants in your life. No one is spared. It has befallen your little sister, your mother and father, most of your friends and relatives. The smell of sadness, despair and fear is spreading everywhere.

And there’s nothing you can do. Absolutely nothing. You are a just a small individual. Facing armed criminals. You can’t resist, you can’t even tell anyone. Who is there to tell? Not the national leaders, because it’s often the national army doing the attacking. The Janjaweed represent fear and terror thanks to their inhuman violence.

The Sudanese tribes have been living in violent and dangerous circumstances such as these for decades. Generation after generation is imbued with fear and uncertainty. Every single day is a fight for survival. But the indigenous peoples won’t give in. They persevere and fight. Because they know they have the right to live.

We all know the story of blood diamonds and blood gold, but we don’t know the stories of the blood-stained Sudanese water, minerals and oil because there are no foreign reporters in Sudan. Thank you for listening to the suffering of the Sudanese and for wanting to help them. Thank you for being part of a movement that helps save lives.

How you can help?

Every contribution will be used solely for the chosen cause

Every single donation counts. That’s why we would like to thank you on behalf of the Sudanese, who are in need for every contribution no matter how modest it might seem to you. Bear in mind that your contribution might be the one that saves someone’s life.

We’re currently raising funds for these projects: Tomo Križnar’s new documentary, internet access and cameras, a mobile drilling rig for searching for potable water, and Slovenian children in need. You can also contribute by purchasing H.O.P.E. products or donating part of your income tax for H.O.P.E. projects.
