I'd like to find a horror movie that genuinely scares the shit out me.
I am a kid of the eighties. The first horror movie that I remember watching was Stephen King's "Carrie". I was probably about 6 or 7 years old. The ending where Carrie puts her hand up through the dirt especially scared the shit out me.
The second movie that scared the shit outta me was "The Shining"... again, Stephen King.
... then there were was Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St, blah blah blah...
In my early twenties, the "Ring" came out.... that was pretty scary to me at the time.
In my mid twenties:High Tension (french) was really great.
House of 1000 corpses... Sleepaway Camp 1,2 and 3 .(came out way earlier than when I had seen it) ...the "babadook" was ok.
I got into some Korean horror for a while....
Occulus was one of the last movies that brought some fear on...
"As Above, So Below" was great....
"The Loved Ones" (Australian?) I quite enjoyed ....
I'm just searching for that horror movie that is so scary that I'll make me too afraid walk from my bedroom to the bathroom ( like I felt as a kid) without waking my ol lady up and saying "hey! WE need to go to the bathroom!"
Hi there! Nice to see you love horror movie : ) Not sure if you like Japanese horror. In my opinion, those movies are really scary and make me feel very uncomfortable even after the watch. The classical one is Ring 20 years ago. But there are lots of recent Japanese horror classics which you may find them good to watch.
