The life of Aryana Perez

Aryana was born in Monterrey. Her family moved to New York after her parents had divorced. Aryana was 11 years old when she had seen the love of her life. Growing up, she always had struggled to keep her telekinetic to herself. From the age of toddlerhood, she was able to make objects move by the motion of her mind. Her mother strongly believed it was a curse from Satan, given that she was religious. However, she knew that her daughter would be stoned back in Mexico, so she used their divorce as an excuse to move.

Aryana would often use her telekinetics against those who abused her. In addition to her ability, she learned how to control it when she desired to. However, there was one particular boy who made her out of control, the one white boy that her mother warned her to stay away from. Aryana never believed her place within her culture. However, back in the 1980s, racism and constant prejudice against non-whites were common. Constantine was a typical 11-year-old white boy. He had the blue eyes and blonde hair Aryana turned on, yet his smile made the crush aggravate.

"Hello, my name is Constantine!" he introduced himself to her, while the teachers were introducing her to the class.

"Is she the beaner of the class, Mrs?" one of the white girls began laughing. The others sniggered as she walked past them.

Throughout her elementary school years, Aryana spent most of her lunch breaks with Constantine. The only male who was willing to hang out with her despite the judgments from others. She slowly felt comfortable to show a special piece of her, one that she has hidden from the rest of the world. As much as he would hate to admit it, he was in love with her presence. Unlike her mother, who strongly condemned such practice, he encouraged her to make the best out of her ability. Which is what Aryana did. For the next three years, she spent nights concealed from her mother to study telekinetism.

When the elementary school had finished, Aryana and Constantine were going off to the same high school. The boy she fell in love with behaved differently, like his essence had been taken. He no longer spent lunchtimes with her, rather, he would neglect her completely at school. Despite his callous attitude towards her, Aryana still firmly believed that they were meant to be together. She would try to find opportunities to talk to him but get turned down upon. On his 16th birthday, she decided to pay him a visit by going to his party. All his fellow peers were invited except Aryana because he wanted to keep his distance.

"Hey, you missed me...you didn't even invite me!" Aryana approached Constantine, while the others were busy dancing off into the night.

"Aryana!!" Constantine muttered, putting a hand over his forehead. "I purposefully didn't invite you for good reasons!".

"Hey, babe, who's this little girl?" a girl with curly blonde hair approached him.

"Oh, that's um...that's Aryana. She went to my elementary school!" Constantine whispered to her. "Look, you've got to go home now. You're not invited here, I'm sorry!"

As he was angrily strolling off, the girl gripped onto the collar of Aryana's. She glared into her eyes like they were on fire. Before she could feel a slap, she scoffed and walked off arrogantly. There was a vase that fell from the side shelf right when she walked past it, hitting her painfully to an unconscious state. The others crowded over the passing-out young girl. Constantine was in his bedroom gazing into the mirror while undoing his tie. Aryana entered his room, slowly she took off her clothes without notice. He turned to notice her state, so he opened the door to demand her out. He angrily pushed her out of his room when she kissed him.

The heart-beating telekinetic made the candlelit spill in their hallway. Her makeup was smudged from the incessant crying. The fire had broken into the hallway, now causing mortified screams coming from downstairs. Constantine wanted to get her out as he was evacuating, but he was turned down from his fears. The next thing they knew, Aryana was burnt badly during the night. She avoided school for the next two weeks. When she came back, her classmates were mortified by her skin. Despite Constantine's callous attitude, she continued to pursue him. By showing her that he didn't like her, Constantine decided to clear his new girlfriend.

The heartbroken Aryana decided to light the school with fire. After many of the students had died from the tragic incident, she committed suicide. Her trimming spirit still haunts Constantine mainly in his sleep. Even after all these years, the biased and racist white supremacy had broken her heart.
