Here are top 10 hotels in her journey that have the capacity of making an impression for a lifetime.
- Ladera Resort, the only hotel resort situated at The Pitons, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in St. Lucia
The hotel is located in this young post volcanic mountainous island. The Paradise Ridge penthouses run as much as $2500 per night. These 6 penthouse were built only a few years ago. One was actually the former wedding banquet hall now rotating also as a penthouse of 2000 sq.ft. The most daring feature is that all units lack a fourth wall. No curtains, no sliding doors, glass or walls separates your room from the adjacent rain forest. Don’t be surprised at dancing air bats or strange sounds endlessly around you. Owner Holly Scott runs it family style with 150 person staff, delicious cooking by Nigel (their chef of 21 years), impeccable attention to service by butlers and endless sunset visits by islanders and tourists alike.

The suites had forest clad hills in the bedroom for serenity, while the living room had Victoria Harbor views. These are peaceful suites and the attention to service by General Manager Thomas Hoeborn was superb. They combined sound, smell and flavor to titillate your senses in both lobby and rooms. A Japanese inspired hotel that until 1989 (from 1970) was the labor unions’ educational conference centers.
