Today we went to the new house again to see how things are going if they make any progress or not ..
The kitchen is almost ready they still need to install the oven .
then you open a door to see all the electricity stuff.. strange to see wooden panels in a concrete house :) but at least we have Fiber optics connection for the internet , should be enough to setup a witness server in the future :)
The bathroom on the 1st floor however might need some work :) we think that window needs some window film to make sure people can't look inside .
And we need to look for a shower curtain :)
the connections for the washing machine and dryer seems ready , but they still need to connect the heater .
The stairs will need a paint job and maybe some led lights
there is a lot of painting to do ...

the current schedule is that we can start with painting around 19th September we have to be patience , and start packing
and say good bye to stuff we don't use anymore.

Looking at Google you have lots of green at the end of your street, that is very nice.
Yes moving is a great moment to throw away or even better give away stuff you havent used in a long time.
I do it every few years and give some away for the local scouting flee market.
Hopefully you guys will have a smooth move and will be very happy in your new home !
Thank you :) we already decided to paint the floors either white or light blue it's much easier to keep it clean with a pet, and we got floor heating so it won't be cold to your feet anyway. The move will be done by movers i'm in no condition to do heavy lifting anymore , and even with the painting job i'm not sure how well i will be doing that is why i make sure i got a bed in the new house as soon as we start painting. i got this 80-100% stamp of being disabled [arbeids ongeschikt ] on my record due to a burn-out and still recovering from that .

There is one round red one in the living room and that is more the enough :)

I have been hearing that burn-outs can take years and years to recover from
and sometimes never so I keep my fingers crossed for you that all will go well !
Take your time, I am arbeids ongeschikt as well and when I moved into this house 20 years ago I told myself, Ok if downstairs and 1 bedroom is done, the rest you can do while living there and do it when you feel up for it :)
The rest I finished over a years time haha

i don't have to do it alone still have wife and daughter to help , burn-out problem is since 2008 but you learn to life with your new limitations. so yeah we start with painting walls and floors and then move the rest comes when we life there.

Wow 10 years already that is a long time.
I agree you learn to respect the limits your body will give you.
Sometimes I overstep that limit but it will have to be something very great so it is worth the pain after wards :)

Yes, that fiber optic connection will be nice. What speeds do yo get over there? Set up some master nodes and a few mining rigs and enjoy retirement!
the current speed i could get on that fiber optics is 500/500 Mbit , more then enough for an average used server.
i currently have 300 down and 30up but that is Cable.
Really exciting stuff! I am so happy that things are working out well with the new house. It looks so nice inside. Although there is a lot of painting to be done, once it is finished, it will be new and fresh.
Very light and bright! Especially the bathroom! Yikes! I was surprised when I moved into this house that the bathroom had a regular window! I was used to frosted glass.

Truth! Well, if I lived there, I would help you and the wife paint. :)) It is always easier to paint in an empty house. But, better than paying 2 rents!
