Interesting! From a "decorative aesthetic" angle, I far more often see "threes" as part of design.
And yet, much of my personal art is based around patterns and sacred geometry (often nature-based) which provides even numbers. When I create a painted mandala on a stone (for example) it becomes an endless iteration of opposing pairs: 2-4-8-16-32-64, etc. In the end, the outcome can be quite aesthetically beautiful and complex....
