Great instructions! I've tried just taking a one gallon jug of organic apple juice and adding yeast and putting the airlock on. If you don't have extra fruit, it's an easy way to make your own. Everything is presterilied! But, I like what you describe even better. Never thought of using bruised bananas. Does it take like the fruit you use, or just alcoholic and sweet?

When the wine is made well, you can detect the fruit it was made from. It is definitely not a wine snob's wine, but it is flavorful and alcoholic! That's a great method you have for apple cider @allforthegood - how does your product turn out?
It works great! But you have to taste it to see what level of sweetness you want. On my second batch I left it too long and it was straight up alcohol.
