RE: Steemit Networking When You Don't Do Small Talk

in #howto7 years ago

You have managed a beautiful balance of self disclosure and self awareness. The things that you have shared demonstrated bravery of spirit and have been of benefit to others. I have appreciated your words so much.
I am guilty of over disclosure and feeling a bit exposed, I think are privy to that.

This is a really good post. After all this time I am still not great at finding communities within communities here, and maintaining relationships. Recently I told @agneslaczo how much her art encourages my own creativity, she was surprised because I don't talk to her. It hadn't occurred to me that all that admiration had remained in my head and was only represented by a few upvotes.
As for finding communities, I could scroll all day then randomly stumble upon a gem. I love finding a gem but it is an unpredictable discovery. Do you search using a tag ? I wonder if a future hardfork might feature a way that searching for groups is easier than going off to discord or steem chat. I am even more clueless there.

The 10 vote thing is something I need to think more about too . I am such a mindless upclicker.

Don't look back mumma you are great and still doing great.

The community tag is a good place to start. I think that something like The Steem Engine would be a good fit for you. Unfortunately I'm not in that one anymore (tunnel vision on my mastermind group), but is full of amazing people. They are application only, but they will see you are awesome: https://steemit.com/@thesteemengine (and you know I'm always at the end of a DM (and I voice chat too sometimes BTW, if we get our timing right).
