I am guilty of over disclosure and feeling a bit exposed, I think are privy to that.
This is a really good post. After all this time I am still not great at finding communities within communities here, and maintaining relationships. Recently I told @agneslaczo how much her art encourages my own creativity, she was surprised because I don't talk to her. It hadn't occurred to me that all that admiration had remained in my head and was only represented by a few upvotes.
As for finding communities, I could scroll all day then randomly stumble upon a gem. I love finding a gem but it is an unpredictable discovery. Do you search using a tag ? I wonder if a future hardfork might feature a way that searching for groups is easier than going off to discord or steem chat. I am even more clueless there.
The 10 vote thing is something I need to think more about too . I am such a mindless upclicker.

The community tag is a good place to start. I think that something like The Steem Engine would be a good fit for you. Unfortunately I'm not in that one anymore (tunnel vision on my mastermind group), but is full of amazing people.
