NASA published a photo taken with the help of the Hubble telescope. The image shows a cluster of stars, located roughly in the center of our Milky Way galaxy. Almost all the stars on the background have grown old and formed a lot of young stars in the foreground.
Scientists are studying sunlike stars to better understand the history of our galaxy. They have already noticed that the movement of stars in space directly depends on the chemical composition. Stars that are rich in hydrogen and helium move more chaotically, but rotate around the center of the galaxy faster than old stars with a lack of heavy elements.
