"We men are fascinated by the things we don't really understand. It gives us something to think and talk about: like females, they drive us nuts."

-Criss Jami

The sense of humor is natural of some and a task for others. But, it is undoubtedly one of the traits that almost everyone seeks and appreciates. Developing your sense of humor may not be an easy feat but it isn't impossible. It can lighten up the atmosphere and can cut through the tenuous situation. It helps one maintain a healthy social and professional life. It also reflects how witty and intelligent the person is. This trait is often associated with the ability to think on one's feet.

Even you can build a sense of humor by practicing these tips:

  1. Know what is selling like hot pizza: Be aware and updated about the things that are happening around you. May it be news, trending songs or movies, scams, politics, etc. you should know every bit of it if you wish to find humor in it.

2)To learn to create humor, watch humor: You can create humor only if you can see the mundane things from adifferent perspective and to do that efficiently you will have to watch quality humor. It may be movies, shows, stand-up comedians, etc. You will understand how tenacious and boring things can be put in a humorous way.

3)Have an open-mind: Being open-minded towards a group, creed, culture, gender, race, etc. is a must. You cannot favor one over the others. Neither you can hurt the sentiments by cracking offending jokes. Know your limits and keep your mind open.

4)Master the language: Whichever language you are using to create humor, make it sure that you have got it right. Jokes in broken language may not appeal the audience.

5)Do not become self-conscious: To create humor let go of all the inhibitions. You may have to become the butt of the joke at times but that is just the part of a game. Be confident and if you feel that the joke is not received well then drop it yourself.

6)Add a pinch of wit and sarcasm to stand apart: Not many can pull up being sarcastically humorous together. If you can master the art of it, then you shall be well received.

7)Don't try too hard: It may not be your cup of tea and hence trying too hard may not be the wisest thing to do. You will eventually have a grip over it.

8)Don't be discouraged by criticism: Do not be disheartened by criticism. Learn to live with it. It is the critics that will help you up your standards
