That's interesting. I've heard this a few times, and I understand how investing in the platform is good for the long term (and helps everyone involved), but surely if it's bad form to convert Hive back into fiat, then there's not much point in pretending it has monetary worth is there?

I'm new and still trying to learn the ropes. I've been super pleased to get decent rewards for some of my blog posts - but I'm wondering whether it's a bit moot if there are social consequences for eventually turning some of that back into a form that I can spend on food.
